Do you like apples? How ‘bout these apples: Boston native Matt Carson has joined O.H. Partners as our new Vice President of Creative. With over 15 years of experience, Matt’s history with big brands includes H&R Block, AT&T U-Verse, Buddig, Kenmore, Craftsman, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag, and more. Focused on combining strategy and design to create advertising that works, Matt believes that the foundation for unique and valuable marketing lies within a blend of brand promise, human truth, and cultural relevance: a strategic unlock.

“Strategy is the linchpin to great creative; creative that doesn’t work is just art. Only through strategy can we really get to something that works. Strategic insights are the guiding light to ideate campaigns.”

Most recently, Matt led a Chicago-based agency as Vice President and Group Creative Director. Matt’s expertise includes web and interactive design, graphic design, strategy, and creating integrated campaigns. He got his start working on a nationwide integrated campaign featuring hyper-local marketing and variable creative. From there, Matt and his teams were responsible for launching hundreds of new durable goods products, providing go-to-market strategies that included innovative direct-to-consumer sales, as well as a long-form SEO and inbound marketing content program with dozens of writers. Currently, Matt’s work on KitchenAid’s “Destination: Design” campaign is being launched, one of the projects he is most proud of due to its cinematic production, thoughtfulness, and clear line from strategy to in-market execution. Matt has also been responsible for integrated campaigns and activations in the CPG, retail, and consumer tax services.

Most importantly, Matt believes excellent work lies in the power of the team and is most excited to work across departments toward a common goal.

“There’s a real partnership in solving problems across disciplines, both with the client and internally. I’ve done that my entire career and I’m excited to do it at O.H. Partners. There’s so much value in creating a conversational space focused on intent; that’s how great work gets made.”

We are thrilled to introduce Matt’s leadership, experience, and strategy-first approach to the agency. Welcome to O.H. Partners, Matt!
